Teaching and Learning Assistants

Ernesettle Community School

Hours of work:                 35 hours per week for 39 weeks per year

Salary:                                 Grade C £19,105 per annum plus access to LGPS

Closing Date:                     Monday 10th June @12 noon

Interview Date:                Week commencing 17th June

Start date:                          2nd September 2024

Due to our Outstanding school expanding further, we are looking for Teaching and Learning Assistants (or graduates wishing to pursue a career in teaching), to work alongside the classroom teachers in delivering the best possible outcomes for our children and community.

Ideal applicants will have Teaching Assistant experience/qualifications (or a degree if they aspire to train to be a teacher in the future) and a strong desire to work positively with children and collaboratively with colleagues. We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking, creative practitioners who are able to motivate pupils. Successful candidates will also be confident when working in a team to support children with additional needs.

To be paid at a Grade C, applicants must have Grade C/4 or equivalent in GCSE English and Maths, however we welcome applications from candidates who wish to work towards these qualifications but be paid at a Grade B.  You will need a good level of spoken English, be a good team player and be able to develop positive behaviour strategies with children.
